Day 81: A New Scarf

I started a new project today. I wanted to make something for myself instead of a gift. I love this yarn because it has just tiny hints of color all through it.

Day 80: Some Writing

I started working on a short story. If it ends up being any good I might try to get it published, so you get a cat photo again today instead of seeing what I wrote.

Day 79: A Hat!

I finished up this project tonight! It's supposed to be a cat hat but it turned out more like a teddy bear hat. It was still really fun to make 😀 The free pattern is from Persia Lou.

Day 78: Most of a Hat

Lots of progress tonight. Just a little bit more of the brim and then some finishing and it'll be ready!

Day 77: Progress

I spent a relaxing evening watching True Blood and working on this project. A few more rows and then I can start turning this into something!

Day 76: New Project Start

This simple project is exactly what I needed. No counting, only one color of yarn. The kind of work I can do while watching tv or otherwise not paying attention. Plus I get to use some more of this pretty blue yarn!

Day 75: Row 44

I love this pattern and I can't wait to hang this banner on my wall, but I don't want to burn myself out before I get to that point. I do like looking back over the previous posts to remind myself how far I've come!

Day 74: Start of a Kraken

Got some rest and made some progress on my banner today. The edge of the kraken is just starting to take shape.

Day 73: Performance

No photo today. I performed one of my poems today for a very large group of people. It was fun and terrifying, and it went really well.

Day 72: Row 38

I'm definitely more than 1/3 of the way finished now! This is turning into a very long project. I'm not sure how to keep these posts interesting when there's only a little progress and the piece doesn't look very different from the day before. If you have any suggestions to liven up these continuation posts...

Day 71: One Row

Day 70: Some extra work

I was working on my Greyjoy banner tonight but I got two rows in and realized I had miscounted! I had to tear out everything I did today and start over. Luckily I had enough time to fix everything and ended up with at least a little progress.
