The spouse gave me an awesome high-capacity yarn winder for xmas so of course I spent a bunch of time today winding my half-used skeins into cakes. All of my floppy, collapsed skeins of acrylic yarn leftover from my fish blanket are now wound into neat and pretty cakes. It can’t quite handle a full 360 yard skein without winding tighter than I like, but it’s perfect for all the partial ones that are still too big for my old winder to handle. My only disappointment was that I didn’t have more yarn to wind. Why is it so fun?
