Snood progress (2)

I made a tiny bit of progress on this tonight. My brain is so exhausted from writing my dissertation that I didn’t have the energy to spend a lot of time on other creative things.

  1. I have to ask, because only recently I discovered that people mean different things with the word “snood”. I always knew it as a hair piece, worn to hold long hair and pinned onto the head to hold it in place. Then I saw it being used in reference to what I had only known as a cowl, before – a neck warmer that is often just a scarf with the ends sewn together to form a circle.

I can’t tell from the photo; are you making the head piece snood, or the neck warmer snood? 🙂

    1. I had no idea what a snood was at all when I started this project (it’s from a kit my parents brought me back from their trip to Ireland last year). This one is the cowl-type neck warmer. I don’t have enough hair to use the other kind!
