A long day after too little sleep is just not conducive to getting lots of knitting done. I made some progress, but not quite enough to finish up this scarf in time to meet my goal for the month. Onward into March!
Scarf progress (27)
I'm so close to being done with this scarf. Just a few inches left to go. For the curious, I stopped worrying about the absolute length, and instead have been measuring it against another scarf that I really like. I think that old scarf is a bit more than 60 inches, but the most important... Continue Reading →
Scarf progress (26)
I had various work obligations until late this evening so I made very little progress tonight. Still, I always count it as a win when I can at least get a row or two done.
Scarf progress (25)
More scarf progress tonight! I have some late nights coming up this week so I'm trying to get as much work done on it while I can.
Scarf progress (24) – Back in business
My poor spouse had to spend a few minutes digging through my stash to find the right yarn. It turns out I had at least 3 different kinds of "green and purple" yarn in there. Whoops. Luckily he finally found the right one and brought it when he came to visit me. Now I have... Continue Reading →
Reverse mitered dishcloth done
Ok it's more of a coaster size than a full dishcloth, but it is functional. I just kept going until I ran out of yarn. It is actually a really good size for resting my phone on so it doesn't clatter on my desk.
Reverse mitered dishcloth
I decided to start on this while I'm waiting for the yarn I need to finish my scarf. I'm using up leftover bits of stash yarn. I'll keep growing it until I'm happy with the size or I run out of scraps.
Scarf progress (23) – Out of yarn
That tiny bit of yarn at the top is all that is left of the skein. The scarf measures a respectable 50 inches now, which is about a foot short of where I want it to be. I like to be able to wrap my scarves around my neck at least once, and 50" is... Continue Reading →
Scarf progress (22)
I like showing off the back of the cables. It's not quite as pretty to look at but I think it is cool to see how cables are constructed. Today was a snow day. I still had work to do at home, but in between that I had some time to curl up with a... Continue Reading →
Scarf progress (21)
Got a few rows done tonight in between driving back and forth from country to city. I'm still not entirely used to making the long drive but hopefully it will get easier. It certainly helps when I can leave late and avoid rush hour.
Scarf progress (20)
I got a bit more than one row finished tonight after all. It was very soothing to watch TV and knit. I honestly don't know how I would have made it through this stressful time without having something like this to take my mind off of things at the end of the day.
Scarf progress (19)
Now you can see just how little is left of the yarn I started with. I got another inch or so finished tonight. This week is going to be a super busy one, but I am planning to spend some quality knitting time next weekend. Until then I'll keep trying to do at least a... Continue Reading →
