Harmonize Shawl progress (9)

Color 2 has arrived! At some point I need to get a picture of this with natural light, because the color is so vibrant and this photo does not do it justice. Sadly most of my knitting time is well outside of daylight hours, especially in the wintertime. Speaking of knitting time, I may not... Continue Reading →

I'm officially finished with the lace bits in this color! If I have enough knitting time tomorrow I should be able to start adding in the beautiful blue. I really can't wait to see how they both knit up together.

Tonight is a good night for quiet knitting and contemplation. It's my last week at my current job and I can barely believe it's already over. I'm excited about my next chapter but I'm also sad that this one is finished. I am also very happy that even though my work and my living situation... Continue Reading →

Ear Warmer finished!

As usual, it feels good to finish a project so quickly. I hope my mom likes it. It's definitely very green. Now I'm eager to get back to my Harmonize shawl. Working with that lovely merino/silk will feel like heaven after this acrylic.

Ear Warmer started

My mom put in a request for an ear warmer that she could wear to the St. Patrick's Day parade. I had this green yarn leftover from Baby Yoda that seemed like a good fit for the job. I really wanted to work on my shawl this weekend but I should have known it wasn't... Continue Reading →

More lace! These sections go so much slower but they look so darn pretty. This pattern is definitely keeping me on my toes. As eager as I am to see how the two colors look together, I suspect I will be missing those big easy sections of alternating garter/stockinette soon. One thing I am very... Continue Reading →

Harmonize Shawl progress (3)

We spent most of the day today running around looking for places to live. It doesn't feel like much progress after everything I got done over the weekend, but I'm still happy with it. There's one more lace section to go and then I get to start adding in the second color!

Harmonize Shawl progress (2)

I got quite a lot of knitting done over the weekend. It was nice curling up in bed, watching Netflix and working on this while the snowy weather passed by. The lace sections were a lot more challenging to me than the simple garter pattern, but it looks amazing. There are a few more pattern... Continue Reading →

Harmonize Shawl progress

The combination of yarn and needles continues to be a complete joy to work with. However, I can tell that this project is very quickly going to reach the point where I have no idea how to take a good photo of it. At least this first section is very simple and relaxing to knit.... Three Xmas Gifts

Today I'm showing off the start of my Harmonize shawl, as well as the rad new project bag that my SIL gave me for xmas. The Incyanity yarn was also an xmas gift, from my spouse. It's a wool/silk blend that is way too pretty to turn into socks. I don't think I've ever knit... Continue Reading →
