I got it in my head that I wanted to make some placemats to use for xmas dinner. The only placemats we have are either cheap plastic ones with sea creatures on them, or extra fancy ones that were a wedding gift. My plan is to make some with red and white stripes and some with green and white stripes. That way in theory they are xmas-y together but if used separately they wouldn’t be overtly holiday-themed.
I’m using some Knit Picks Dishie I picked up during their sale. The pattern is just the same old Gramma’s Dishcloth pattern, adapted to lengthen one side a bit. It’s easy lazy knitting and has been perfect to work on while watching science seminars.
