Volcano Trail progress (5)

I think I was in a slump with this project and hadn’t fully realized it. Now all of a sudden I feel like I want to keep working on it all the time. I’m not sure what changed, other than the color of yarn I’m using! I’m grateful for it though, because I’d like to get this project done this month. I am planning on making two of these (in different colors) for xmas gifts but if this one turns into a slog I will have to find something else to do instead of the second one. What I enjoy most about knitting is learning new things, so a project has to be either very fun, fast, or useful for me to make it more than once.
