Whatever block I had that was keeping me from these socks is now well and truly gone. I’ve been spending almost all of my free time working on these and have almost doubled my progress in a few days. I think I just needed to dedicate enough time to them so I could memorize the pattern. When I thought these socks were going to be a slog I thought I might stop the pattern after I turn the heel. Now that I know I can work so quickly I will probably continue the pattern as written.
