Easy as Pie Dishcloth

I wanted to use up the scraps of cotton I had left over from my tea towel so I decided to make a scrappy dishcloth. The pattern is the Easy as Pie Dishcloth, and honestly... I don't love it. It was definitely easier than the Seamless Circular Dishcloth I've made many times before, but it... Continue Reading →

Pull Me Over started

Here is the reason I haven't worked on my socks much lately. I started this Pull Me Over sweater on Wednesday. Waaaay back in my first year of this blog I posted about finding some gorgeous yarn in a local thrift store. It has been sitting in my stash since then. It has called to... Continue Reading →

1986 Socks started

It felt weird not having a pair of socks going and this yarn has been calling to me for a while so I cast these on. I decided to try toe-up for a change, since I've only made one other pair with that construction. I certainly appreciate not having to worry about remembering how to... Continue Reading →

Tea Towel started

I actually started this project back before I started my sweater, but I never got around to showing it. This is mostly being made so I can use up some of my Dishie yarn without making more dishcloths. I've reached the point where I have too many dishcloths laying around and don't have enough people... Cozy Classic Raglan cast on!

I finally cast on for my first ever knitted sweater! The pattern is Cozy Classic Raglan by Jessie Maed Designs. I made one of her patterns before and was really impressed about the clarity and level of detail it had. This pattern seems intimidating but I think it is just because there is a lot... Pan Protector started

We had a set of pan protectors that we purchased a while ago, but they've started falling apart. I decided to try to replace some with this crocheted version. It gives me a replacement without having to buy anything new, and it uses up some of my giant supply of cotton yarn. Win-win!

Sweater Swatch Hat started

I seem to be trying to motor through all of my goals for January right out of the gate. I was getting everything together to start swatching for the sweater I have planned, and got a bit of inspiration. One of the knitting podcasts I watch, Sweet Tea No Shade, gave the suggestion of making... Continue Reading →

Waffle Hat

One of my goals for this month was to make a hat, and I managed to check it off the list in one day. I started this hat in the morning on New Year's Day, and managed to finish and weave in the ends before midnight that night. It was not a bad way to... Continue Reading →

Fangorn Forest Socks started

My spouse gifted me this beautiful yarn and I cast it on right away on super christmas. It's from Holly Press Fibers, in the Cliffs of Insanity colorway inspired by the Princess Bride. The pattern I chose is Fangorn Forest Socks. I suspect that this pattern would really shine more with a solid color yarn,... Continue Reading →

Oceans of Love Wrap started

I bought this yarn from Knit Picks during their sale and it only just arrived yesterday. I am a little disappointed because I was hoping to get this project done in time to gift this to my MIL for xmas. Since we're not getting together in person all of the gifts have already been boxed... Continue Reading →

Deco Grid Beanie

I wanted to use up some more of the leftover yarn I had from my puffin hats. Looking around, I found the Deco Grid Beanie and really loved it. I started it over the weekend and finished it up yesterday. I'm absolutely thrilled with how it turned out. The color is definitely not my jam,... Continue Reading →

I finished my red and white placemat over the weekend, and then started on the green and white one right away. If I can get a total of three of these finished before xmas I'll be happy, since that is the total number of people who will be having dinner here that night. If it... Continue Reading →
